This 330-key flagship hotel was constructed on the previous site of the Museum of Contemporary Art, just off of Michigan avenue. Conceptually, it is a study of interlocking masses. This translates into unique views and interesting spatial relationships throughout the hotel. The porte cochere is a focal point at the main entrance, with a lighting scheme inspired by the works of American artist, Dan Flavin, who once exhibited in the MCA.
